We serve girls between the ages of six and sixteen years in our program.

“How much does your program cost?”

We charge a $10 monthly program fee during the school year.  Girls who are enrolled in Carter or Washington County schools also pay a $10 transportation fee.

“What background and training does your staff have?

The majority of our staff are college students working on degrees in education or some related field.  We hire staff on the basis of what they can offer to our girls.

“What is the staff to child ratio?”

During the school year, the staff to child ratio is about 1:15. During the summer, our enrollment increases so the staff to child ratio is approximately 1:20.

“How does my daughter get there after school?”

Girls who are coming from Johnson City Schools can ride the school bus to our center.  Girls who attend Carter County  Schools will be picked up by the Girls Inc. van.

“What are your hours of operation?"

Our after-school program hours  are from 3p to 6p and we follow the Johnson City Schools closing schedule.

“How does my daughter get home?”

Transportation is provided through Johnson City Transit services to those girls who live in the Keystone, Pine Grove, Carver, or Clark Manor areas.  Girls Inc. also provides transportation to those girls who live in Stoneybrook Apartments.  The rest of the girls must be picked up by 6pm.
